Pitch Competition
Entrepreneurial communities are driven by entrepreneurs with a long term view of were the community needs to be. There's strong connection with the leading universities, providing new entrepreneurs and fresh thoughts into the world of start-ups, and there's events and activities that allows everyone - from investors to first time founders - to get involved and make connections.
Melbourne's startup community is small but growing, there are some problems; a cultural fear of failure; a lack of access to early stage financing; little awareness about entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial eco-system in Melbourne ; to name but a few. We want to hear your thoughts and ideas on how these problems (and others we haven't mentioned) can be overcome. Be they through new start-ups, initiatives, campaigns, government action, education, you name it - we're open to what you've got to say!
Enter your initiative for a chance to pitch to the people with the power to make your idea come to life. The top half dozen pitches will get a chance to present on the main stage, and we will actively work with them to secure resources, both in terms of financing, and people to support it, in order to make your vision come true. Pitches in the first stage are to go for no more then 120 seconds, and everyone who pitches get's a free ticket to the conference!
